Pause in the City – FYP

This three part project introduces different channels for people to take a break from the hustle in Singapore.

The world is getting busier every single day. The stressful nature of work, and the pressure of having to keep up with the hectic pace every single day causes detrimental impacts on every individual’s overall health. Based on research, Singapore was ranked the 2nd most overworked country in 2020 as well as the country with the highest depression rate in Asia. Being one of the busiest countries in the world, there are not many places in Singapore encouraging citizens to rest and idle. This issue brought about an idea to create a disruption in the accelerated pace in Singapore via spaces that encourage people to pause in this fast paced society, even if it is for a short while.
