Catherine Effnert is the only woman convicted and executed for witchcraft in my home town of Boleslawiec, South-Western Poland. I only know her name and the year of her death- 1575. Having had focused my work on marginalised women and social outcast before I decided to remind the world about her. I wanted the world to know her name.
