The Dresser Magazine – Issue 01 Lipstick Culture
The Dresser is an independent magazine that highlights the importance of the items on a woman’s dresser, with each issue having a specific theme, such as lipstick, perfume and mascara. It reflects the changing status of women in society and focuses on women’s rights and ways of thinking through tiny objects. The content covers a wide range of areas such as history, feminism, art and life, and presents the attitudes of women from different industries in an objective way through personal stories and interviews.
The first issue focuses on lipstick culture, which tells the history and evolution of lipstick, its connection to the women’s movement, the role it played in the Hollywood era and how contemporary women show the power of lipstick. My idea was to deepen contemporary female understanding of the objects on their dressing tables through publication that appeal to gender equality while showing the unique power of women.
