Ukiyo

Over 1/3 of British people working from home have experienced back, head and joint pain due to the new working from home set-up. Physiologists and Physiotherapists believe that the key to mitigating these issues is movement.

Ukiyo is a tool that enables people to transform their workstation throughout their day, empowering them to move their body while they work.

The platform features a novel folding solution with hinged legs, inspired by the mechanics of ‘paper pop-ups’, self-erecting paper structures. This engaging mechanism provides satisfaction to users as well as ensuring the product can be stored in small spaces. The product has been designed with sustainability in mind, combing simplicity with quality materials. Furthermore, Ukiyo can be easily repaired by users to increase its longevity.
