Precarious- The Lady Boss Series, 2021
Five acrylic paintings on canvas. 170 x 100 cm. Inspired by the study to Victor Popkov’s socialist realist masterpiece ‘Builders of Bratsk’ but reimagined to fit the gig economy. The collective portrait of five workers is deconstructed as five separate portraits. Each ‘Lady Boss’ is larger than life, colourful and confident but isolated from the other Ladies, forced into a narrow frame and stripped of impact on the larger picture.

Las, Laska, Lass (Hilary Emerging), 2020
A predator is amongst us. If you put on that Lynx deodorant- I am afraid you’re a goner. A rusalka is readying herself to pounce.
Waiting and Drawing, 2020-2021
