Welcome to my abstract interpretation of life. In a world that can often be loud and overwhelming, my creative practice is a quiet place that provides sensory escapism through intense concentration from mind, to hand, to surface.
My work will be on show in person at Part Two of The Alternative Degree Show Festival, taking place across Glasgow in July 2021.
Life Mutations
Fragments of textures, shapes and forms found around Glasgow are broken apart and moulded into new compositions, embellished with pattern and colour. There is always something unpredictable and surreal about what happens to these reference points. My brain drives me to fantastical places.
Micro-gesture
Making marks on a surface is how I think: be it with pencils, pens, paint, or an etching needle. These selected works explore the inner human body, plant life, and fragments of dreams, brought to life using a variety of repeated micro-gestures.
