An interdisciplinary artist and a curator with her/their practice focused on sociopolitical issues, mental health, queer identity and satire. Tym often works across mediums varying between film, photography, installation, collage, crocheting and creative writing.
quarantine sights
“quarantine sights” is a series of photographs and an artist book that document the artist’s experiences during the covid-19 pandemic. The project took 365 days of mobile photography and creative writing, which were posted live on Instagram throughout the year. The series guides the audience through the personal journey of the artist’s mental health and recovery in a world that has stopped.

typology of appearances
‘Typology of appearances’ is a study of everyday objects. It allows considering our surroundings within an abstract aesthetic. Pulled out of context, enlarged and exposed for everyone to see, the items themselves become vulnerable, open to every spectator’s gaze. The concept reflects on the performative presence of gender in society and the objectification of appearance.

the times that I could’ve died
A storytelling work-in-progress that originated through an ongoing therapy for generalized anxiety, depression and PTSD. It is an active attempt at learning to control the narratives which left me sliding past death.
This work is intended to be finalized as a video piece.
